OVERVIEW
Structured project management means managing the project in a logical, organised way, following defined steps. A structured project management method is the written description of this logical, organised approach, and PRINCE2® (PRojects IN a Controlled Environment) is a structured project management method. The PRINCE2®Computer Based Training (CBT) self study course provides students and organisations alike with the opportunity to complete the Foundation Course in their own environment, at their own pace and at a substantially reduced cost. The CBT blend of content-rich, interactive visuals and audio explanation delivers information in an easy yet thorough method. It has been proven that self study reduces learning time substantially, whilst improving retention.
A case study, based on a hypothetical project to create a South African game lodge, is followed through in parallel with the learning material to demonstrate how the PRINCE2®method may be applied and tailored in real life.
TARGET AUDIENCE
This workshop will benefit all those involved in PRINCE2®projects, including: Project Managers
• General Managers • Programme Managers • Team Managers & Support Staff • Staff who have a defined role • Project Management Consultants

This course has been accredited by the APM Group in the United Kingdom and follows the syllabus set down, including: Introduction and tailoring of the method.
COURSE DURATION & DELIVERY
Delegates receive the Compact Disc containing the course and we recommend the purchase of the Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2® manual. Access to the course CD material is provided through an automated access key request to PM Academy. Students are typically required to invest 30 - 40 hours to complete the course tutorials.
The training sections are regularly interspersed with the following to ensure that all the material is properly covered and understood:
• Short quizzes on the material just covered • Additional reading tasks in the PRINCE2® manual • Exercises with model answers • Summary of main points covered
The following course features are available on demand:
A substantial multiple choice question pool in either study or examination mode will round off your preparation for the Foundation exam. Study Mode practice tests refer students to the correct answer in the manual after each incorrect selection. Examination mode tests do not provide any hints, and a timer is provided. These tests allow the student to test himself under similar conditions to the actual PRINCE2® Foundation examination. Once the course has been completed, students are welcome to register for the Foundation Exam invigilated by PM Academy. The multiple choice, closed book exam is one hour in duration and delegates must obtain 38 out of 75 questions. The course has been designed to operate on all versions of MS Windows XP and MS Windows Vista. Alternatively, organisations or students may require a blend of self study and classroom interventions. This blend of training permits self study at your own pace, whilst classroom workshops aim to reinforce concepts and clarify areas of uncertainty. PMAcademy is well positioned to assist and structure a format suitable to your unique requirements.
